I have several photographs of this tree, but this one, which only shows a segment and the super-complex branch of this century-old cork oak, was actually what attracted me the most when I arrived here. I think this image reflects something I like to do and that I’m increasingly excited about in woodland photography, which is embracing and managing to organize the complexity existing in the forest, which for me is like a creative game or a visual puzzle.
